The short answer: October to April. But that’s not the full picture. Dubai has genuinely distinct seasons and the right time to visit depends entirely on what you want from the trip.
October – April: Peak Season
This is Dubai at its best. Temperatures sit between 18°C and 28°C, the skies are clear, and the city’s outdoor life is fully operational — beach clubs, rooftop restaurants, desert camps, outdoor markets. This is when prices are highest and when availability on the best properties tightens up. Book early.
December and January are the busiest months. Expect the Burj Khalifa New Year’s Eve show to book out entirely, and restaurants filling weeks in advance. Plan ahead or ask our team to arrange it.
May – September: Summer
Humid. Genuinely hot — 40°C+ is routine in July and August. Most visitors avoid this period, but there’s a case for it: prices drop significantly, the city’s indoor attractions (malls, aquariums, indoor ski slopes) are at their best, and Dubai actually goes quiet. If you’re the type who prefers fewer crowds and knows how to work an air-conditioned city, summer in Dubai can be excellent value.
Ramadan
Ramadan timing shifts annually. Dining in public changes — most restaurants operate with screened-off sections during fasting hours, and the evenings come alive with Iftar and Suhoor. It’s a different Dubai, but not a diminished one. Respectful travellers often find it one of the most memorable times to visit.
The Sweet Spot
If you can only choose one window: mid-October to mid-December, or March. The city is fully operational, the weather is perfect, and it’s slightly ahead of or behind the Christmas and February half-term peaks.
